What is training data?
In one line
Everything the AI learned from.
Training data is all the text (and images, and more) an AI studied while it was being built. It's where the AI's “knowledge” comes from — a bit like everything a person read growing up. This is also why an AI can have a cut-off date, or blind spots: if something wasn't in its training data, it may not know it.
