What is a prompt?
In one line
Just the message you send the AI.
A prompt is simply what you type to the AI — your question or request. That's it. The only secret is that a clearer, more detailed prompt gets a better answer. “Write an email” is a weak prompt; “Write a friendly email to my landlord asking to fix the heating, keep it short” is a strong one.
